TAK: A Myanmar couple and their two sons - one four years and the other four months old - were found to have been killed following a feud with fellow Myanmar migrants at a village farm in Mae Sot district.

The grisly murder of the family of four was reported to Mae Sot police on Sunday morning.

Led by Mae Sot chief investigator Pol Lt Col Jirasak Sritham, police went to the farm at Ban Mae Tao in tambon Tha Sai Luat for examination.

The police found the bodies of Ador, 45, his wife Makhin La, 40, and their four-month-old son in a cottage in an area surrounded with a concrete wall. The body of Po De, their four-year-old son, was found a pond near the hut.

The bodies, soaked with blood, had been hit with a hard object. They were believed to have died about six hours previously.

Three blood-stained wooden sticks were recovered from beside the cottage.

From a preliminary investigation, the couple had had an angry quarrel with some fellow Myanmar migrants in the neighbourhood. The Myanmar migrants, suspected to be on the other side of the feud, had moved away before the police arrived.

A full investigation into the murder was underway.
