Crime Suppression Division police arrested a man for allegedly forcing a under-age girl to have sex with him for seven years, before she found out he was married and his wife was newly pregnant.
CSD superintendent Pol Maj Thanasak Prasartthong said on Thursday that Anek Srisuwan, 53, was arrested in his room at Bang Phun Mansion on Rangsit-Pathum Thani Road in Muang district, Pathum Thani. He is a native of tambon Huai Yai in Bang Lamung district of Chon Buri.
The arrest followed a complaint by the girl that Mr Anek, an estate broker and interior decorator, had lured her into his adjacent rented room in Pattaya and raped her in 2007, when she was only 13-years-old. She was then forced into a relationship with him that lasted seven years.
The girl then learned that Mr Anek already had a legal wife, who was pregnant. They had a argument. She broke up with him and filed a complaint with police in Chon Buri's Bang Lamung district. The suspect fled and the Pattaya Court issued a warrant for his arrest in 2017.
After being detained, Mr Anek confessed to raping a minor, according to police. He would be returned to Pattaya for further legal action, Pol Maj Thanasak said.
