Filipino badly hurt in fall at airport

A Filipino tourist was severely injured in a fall from the fourth floor of the departure hall to the second floor of the hall at Suvarnabhumi airport on Wednesday evening.

Bobbie Silmalo Bayron, 33,  fell around 5pm in full view of other, shocked travellers.

He was quickly given first aid treatment and rushed to Samitivej Srinakarin Hospital, police said.

Mr Bayron had arrived from Kenya and was about to board a Philippine Airlines flight before the incident.

Police are investigating to find out why he fell.
