A man accused of trying to grope a woman passenger's breasts on a moving bus has been arrested in Bang Sue district, Bangkok.
Peerapol Yodcharoen, 36, was arrested in Bang Sue district on Wednesday night for the alleged indecent assault on a woman in a public area.
The suspect allegedly confessed to the charge.
A 24-year-old university student earlier filed a complaint with Bang Sue police that a man had sexually molested her on bus No.8 on Nov 28.
The woman said she was taking the bus from Chatuchak weekend market to Victory Monument when man sitting in the back near a window tried several times to touch her breasts with his left hand.
She stood up and shouted at him before moving to another seat. She also took his photo as evidence. The man quickly left the bus when it became stuck in traffic near Saphan Kwai intersection, she said.
The man's actions drew heavy criticism from netizens when the incident was posted on social media.
