An Ayutthaya policeman, accused of sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl, has turned himself in to the Crime Suppression Division but denied the allegation.

Pol Lt Sombat Phaingam, deputy police inspector of Sena police station, is among 14 suspects believed involved in the wrongdoing, according to acting CSD chief Maitri Chimchoet.
The 58-year-old officer yesterday met acting Pol Col Maitri to acknowledge the charge. He was among three suspects who remained at large after 11 others had been nabbed.
Officers were told to question Pol Lt Sombat and lodge a complaint with the Criminal Court yesterday, Pol Col Maitri said, adding the suspect was denied bail.
The CSD found the underage girl was first lured by a relative to sell sex in Ayutthaya. Further investigation discovered the abuse involved up to 14 people.
Meanwhile, Workpoint TV journalist Kanwela Saoruean yesterday filed a complaint with the Technology Crime Suppression Division against a businessman who allegedly contacted her via Facebook and offered her 220,000 baht a month for six months if she agreed to have sex with him three times a month.
The 31-year-old reporter said she was consulting police on what charges should be pressed against the man and also wants to use her case as a model "urging other sexually abused women to dare come out to lodge complaints".
According to her account, Kanwela was contacted by a man under a name of Worapong Kheawmanee on Dec 9.
He promised to give her the money for the sex services at a hotel on the fifth, 15th and 25th of each month.
Kanwela later checked out his profile on Facebook, which said the man was serving in executive posts for several companies.
But when she called these companies to verify whether he served on their boards nobody knew this person.
