A woman’s pet briefly gained celebrity status at Suvarnabhumi airport on Friday, with many travellers taking photos with the rooster wearing diamond-studded anklets.

While Kallayanee Yimsiri, 60, was carrying her pet to see a Chinese friend off at the airport on Friday morning, her animal drew the attention of many tourists who came to take a close look and take photos with the fowl on the fourth floor of the passenger terminal.
The anklets were reportedly worth about 50,000 baht.
The woman was later ordered by a security guard at the airport to take her pet out of the terminal.
Ms Kallayanee said she had raised Jock, the rooster, since it was young. Her daughter had spotted the cock on a roadside two years ago and brought it back home as it looked ill. Her family then took the animal to see a veterinarian and nursed it back to health.
Since then, the family has raised the rooster at home and they developed a close bond. As the family’s favourite pet, it is bathed and groomed every day. She feeds the pet with healthy food and it sleeps in her bedroom every night, said the owner.
She always takes her fowl with her wherever she goes.
"I'm happy to see many Thai and foreign passengers at the airport show love and kindness towards my pet," she said.
