Rain came down in some districts in Bangkok and Nonthaburi on Monday, causing flooding in at least two roads.

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration reported rain in some areas in Bang Khen, Lat Phrao, Chatuchak, Wang Thong Lang, Bang Sue, Lak Si, Don Muang and Phaya Thai districts, and Pak Kret district in Nanthaburi early in the afternoon.

Traffic radio stations also reported flooding on Ngam Wong Wan and Tiwanon roads as they advised motorist avoid the two streets.

Rain came earlier than the Meteorological Department had forecast. The weather agency on Sunday expected rain from Tuesday to Saturday.

Its 24-hour forecast update on Monday said rain would cover 40% of the areas in the capital.

The unseasonal rain caused at least one accident when a pickup truck skidded off Pradit Manutham Road in Lat Phrao, injuring two persons.
