People in the upper Northeast are warned to brace for another round of summer thunderstorms and gusting winds, expected to hit upper Thailand on April 24.
Manoon Dor-oy, deputy director of the Northeastern Meteorological Centre, said the storms, brought by a high pressure system across China, will move over the South China Sea and then into Thailand early next week, from April 24-27.
The upper Northeast could expect to be the first area hit, starting Tuesday.
Nakhon Phanom, Sakon Nakhon, Kalasin and Khon Kaen would feel the brunt first, and then Buri Ram in the lower Northeast and onto the Central Plains, Mr Manoon said.
Emergency services had already been warned to be on full alert
