Netizens are hailing a teacher who overcame obstacles blocking his way to school.

As the Education Ministry is embroiled with student lunch and fund for underprivileged children scandals, a teacher in Chiang Mai has put educators in a positive light.

Nopparat Charoenphol posted video clips on Monday showing his determination to teach his pupils at Ban Bai Na School in Om Koi district -- whatever obstacles he may have to overcome.

On Monday, those obstacles were heavy rain and a landslide blocking the treacherous mountain road to the school -- which Mr Nopparat braved on his motorcycle.

"The trip to school today was rough and it was not fun," he wrote on his Facebook account.

"Thumbs up," said one person - one of many supportive messages on his social media account.

The teacher was quick to point out that he's not the only dedicated educator in Thailand.

"Thank you all for supporting. But there are more rough roads to other schools. For all "mountainous teachers", keep going," he wrote on Wednesday.
