King wishes 12 boys, coach trapped in cave safe

His Majesty the King has expressed his wish for 12 young footballers and their coach safe after they were trapped inside a cave for three days.

The King relayed his message through the Office of His Majesty's Principal Private Secretary, Interior Minister Anupong Paojinda said on Monday.

His Majesty is following the situation and is worried about the football team members and their coach who are still inside the cave at Tham Luang Khun Nam Nang Non Forest Park, the minister added.

The King is sending support for their families and everybody involving in the operation to help those trapped inside, according to Gen Anupong.

The missing students aged 13-16 play for the Moo Paa team and their coach, Ekkaphol Chantharawong, went inside the cave in Mae Sai district in Chaing Rai on Saturday evening and they have not returned.

Rescuers are trying to locate them and help them out of the cave. Divers of the Royal Thai Navy SEAL were sent inside to search for them.
