Bangkok Post editors' appointments announced

The Executive Committee of Bangkok Post Plc has appointed a new editor-in-chief and <i>Bangkok Post</i> editor.

Nha-Kran Laohavilai (above, right) has been promoted to the role of Editor-in-Chief overseeing three of the company’s flagship publications - Bangkok Post, Post Today and M2F - and their digital media platforms.

Soonruth Bunyamanee (above, left) has been appointed as the editor of the Bangkok Post.

Mr Nha-Kran previously served as the company’s deputy chief operating officer.

He joined the company in 2003 and later served as the editor of Post Today and deputy editor-in-chief of the Bangkok Post Group.

A veteran with considerable expertise in journalism and media management, Mr Nha-Kran worked for several media houses before joining the Bangkok Post.

Mr Soonruth joined the newspaper in 1994 as a business reporter. During his career in journalism at the Post, he worked in several fields before being appointed news editor in 2010 and deputy editor of the newspaper in 2016. He has served as acting editor since May of this year.

The new appointments took immediate effect on Friday.
