Gangs brawl at another hospital

Two youth gangs brawled inside a hospital in Prathai district of Nakhon Ratchasima after earlier clashing at the end of an outdoor concert in the early hours of Monday.

Pol Col Somkiat Klakrathok, chief interrogator of  Prathai police station, said on Monday afternoon that several youths who live in Prathai district were involved and had been questioned, Members of the second gang, from Chum Phuang district, would also be called in for questioning, according to Naew Na online.

Pol Col Somkiat said police were still compiling a case, but would press charges of breaking into a state building.

The two gangs started fighting at the end an outdoor concert near the Provincial Electricity Authority offices in Prathai about 2am and some injured youths were taken to Prathai Hospital for treatment.

The two gangs then moved to the hospital and began brawling again outside the emergency room.

A security guard at the hospital said he saw them exchanging punches and throwing traffic cones at each other before all fled the scene.

It was the third such incident at hospitals recently, and the second in Nakhon Ratchasima.

About 30 youths were involved in a brawl outside the emergency room at Huay Thalaeng Hospital in Huay Thalaeng district in the northeastern province on April 10. Police arrested four.

A gang brawl at Bang Saphan Noi Hospital in Bang Saphan Noi district of Prachuap Khiri Khan six days later resulted in nine being charged.
