Foreign countries have offered their congratulations to His Majesty the King on the day of his coronation.
Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message on Saturday to His Majesty King Rama X to mark the auspicious event.
"On the occasion of your coronation, on behalf of the Chinese government and Chinese people and in my own name, I would like to extend sincere congratulations and best wishes to you and the Thai people," President Xi was quoted as writing by the Chinese embassy in Bangkok.
"I attach great importance to developing China-Thailand relations and stand ready to work with you to carry forward the traditional friendship between China and Thailand, deepen Belt and Road cooperation, and forge ahead with the China-Thailand comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership. I wish the Kingdom of Thailand prosperity and the people happiness," the Chinese president's message reads.
Meanwhile, President Bidya Devi Bhandari of Nepal also expressed his confidence that the Kingdom of Thailand will achieve further progress and prosperity under His Majesty's visionary guidance and stewardship, Nepalese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
Last week, Singapore's president Halimah Yacob also sent a congratulatory message. "I am confident that the people of Thailand will continue to see development and abundance in the years ahead under Your Majesty's reign," she wrote.
"Singapore and Thailand share a close and longstanding friendship. A bronze elephant statue, gifted to Singapore by His Majesty King Chulalongkorn to commemorate his visit to Singapore in March 1871 – the first stop in His Majesty's inaugural overseas visit, stands in front of Singapore's Old Parliament House, and remains a key symbol of the enduring friendship between our two countries. I have therefore commissioned a painting of the statue as a gift to Your Majesty in celebration of the momentous occasion of Your Majesty's Coronation," she wrote.
She also invited His Majesty to visit Singapore.
Meanwhile, 70 Buddhist monks from many different countries on Saturday joined in a chanting ceremony in Kushinagar, India to bless His Majesty.
Among the other embassies publishing congratulatory messages on behalf of their countries were the US, the UK, the EU, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain and Sweden.
