As the Thai national team prepared for their last international game of the year, their coach Milovan Rajevac publicly made a wish for a "lovely weather" and a good result against Kenya tonight.

Intermittent but heavy downpours have been lashing the Thai capital and other parts of the country and another shower could affect what Rajevac thinks "is going to be an entertaining game".

Thailand, who recorded a 3-1 victory over Myanmar on Thursday, face the East Africans at the SCG Stadium in a friendly which will be televised live by Thai Rath TV (channel 32), starting at 7.30pm.

"I have worked in Africa and I know Kenya very well," said Rajevac, who guided Ghana to the quarter-finals of the 2010 World Cup.

"But let us first pray for a lovely weather. It will be our last match of the year and we want to impress our fans."

But the veteran Serb warned: "The fans should not look at the result of our game against Myanmar and gauge our chances against Kenya. They are two different teams belonging to two different classes.

"Kenya are placed higher than us in the Fifa rankings and pose a much tougher challenge.

"They may not be among the top African teams but they are still very good.

"I have made the players watch videos of their recent matches. They are very good and play fast-paced football."

Rajevac can look forward to an extra effort from former Thailand captain Datsakorn Thonglao, who has been recalled to the national team after a lapse of three years.

The Kenya friendly will mark a special milestone for the ex-SCG Muang Thong United captain, who will play his 100th match for the War Elephants tonight.

"This will be my first game for the national team after three years, so I am really excited and a little bit nervous too," said Datsakorn.

"There is a new atmosphere in the Thai team and this is a special occasion for me after being away for a long time."

Rajevac has also decided to call up Thai-German right-back Philip Roller of Ratchaburi Mitr Phol for today's game.

Roller said: "I just returned after visiting my family in Germany and got this news of my return to the national team. I am very happy to play for the Thai national team."

Thailand and Kenya have met only once when the War Elephants edged the African side 2-1 in a 1990 King's Cup game.
