BIRMINGHAM: West Bromwich Albion scored two late goals to draw 2-2 with Liverpool and keep alive their faint hopes of staying up in the Premier League on Saturday.

Liverpool took the lead on four minutes when Danny Ings scored his first league goal since 2015 with a close-range finish after a corner.

Mohamed Salah extended the visitors' lead on 72 minutes, latching onto an Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain through ball to lob over Ben Foster. It was his 31st league goal, tying the record for goals in a 38-match season.

But Jake Livermore got a goal back for the hosts on 79 minutes, scrambling the ball home following a corner, before Salomon Rondon headed home a Chris Brunt free-kick at the near post to draw West Brom level 10 minutes later.

West Brom remain at the bottom of the table on 25 points, three behind Stoke, who are at home to Burnley on Sunday. Third-place Liverpool are three points behind Manchester United, who are playing an FA Cup semi-final against Tottenham Hotspur later Saturday.
