Thailand claimed only their second win of the inaugural FIVB Nations League campaign after beating Poland in Macau on Thursday.

The Thai women bounced back from losses against Serbia and China to defeat Poland in a thrilling 3-2 (25-22, 21-25, 25-23, 21-25, 16-14) encounter in the final Pool 7 game at Macau Forum.

China and Serbia were due to play later to conclude the pool action.

Chatchu-on Moksri was Thailand's top scorer with 26 points, while Ajcharaporn Kongyot and Pimpichaya Kokram added 16 and 14 respectively.

Malwina Smarzek scored a massive 38 points for Poland, while Natalia Medrzyk chipped in 14.

The Thai players will now head home for the third and fourth weeks of action in Bangkok and Nakhon Ratchasima.

Next week's Pool 11 will be held at Indoor Stadium, Hua Mark, where Thailand will play United States, Dominican Republic and Germany. The team will then travel to Nakhon Ratchasima for the fourth week of action at Chatchai Hall on June 5-7.

In Pool 5, United States overwhelmed Belgium 3-0 (25-11, 25-18, 25-17) for their fifth win of the campaign.

Michelle Bartsch-Hackley moved to the top of the American team's point-scoring list for the tournament, adding a game-high 14 points against the Belgians to lift her series total to 71.

Captain Jordan Larson, who top scored in Wednesday's 3-0 romp over the Netherlands, chipped in with 11 as the US completed their third straight whitewash in Toyota, Japan.

In the second match of the pool, Lonneke Sloetjes produced another outstanding performance to engineer a comfortable 3-0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-21) win for Netherlands over hosts Japan.

In Pool 6, Russia beat Germany 3-1 (19-25, 25-21, 25-15, 25-23), while Italy stunned hosts South Korea 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-21). The Koreans lost for the first time in nine matches at the Suwon Indoor Gymnasium.
