The two-time defending champion fired a final round one-under-par 70 to win by five shots over Toru Taniguchi at the par-71 Nidom Country Club.

The 52-year-old Thai finished on five-under 279 total to win the ¥80 million (approximately 23,740,000 baht) tournament, one of the major championships in Japanese men's senior golf, for the third time in a row.

It was also his third victory on the Japan Senior Tour this year and the 11th title in total since joining the circuit three years ago.

Prayad took home the ¥16-million (4.75-million-baht) winner's cheque, while Taniguchi received ¥8,800,000 (2.61 million baht).

Japan's Taniguchi shot a final-round 72 to finish on an even-par 284.

Tsuyoshi Yoneyama (69), Kim Jong-Duck (73) and Akira Teranishi (73) finished tied-third on 285 to receive ¥4,506,666 (1.34 million baht) each.

Prayad, who hails from Hua Hin, remained on top of the tour's money list with ¥38,125,000 (11,312,500 baht) after playing just four events so far this year.

He won the Fubon Yeangder Senior Cup in Taiwan in May and the 19th Starts Senior Golf Tournament in Ibaraki, Japan, last month.
