English golfer Eddie Pepperell admitted to being a "little hung over" during his final-round 67 at the British Open on Sunday.

Pepperell held the clubhouse lead briefly and ended up tied for sixth with Tiger Woods and Kevin Chappell.

"I was a little hung over. I won't lie. I had too much to drink last night," Pepperell said.

On Saturday, Pepperell shot a 71 that left him frustrated. So he had some drinks with his coach and "we just drowned our sorrows for a half hour and had a good chat with a few people."

Later Sunday he tweeted he wasn't "THAT drunk last night! I remember having a shower and brushing my teeth so I'd say I was fine."

According to the European Tour, Pepperell won 281,218 Euros on Sunday -- about 11 million baht.
