Go organic and see if game improves

After yet another major win at the PGA Championship last week, Brooks Koepka has made Michael Parker an important member of his team.

He's known within the group of Koepka's helpers as the guy who concocts fresh, clean and organic food that is fuel to burn for the four-time major champion.

Parker has played an important role, be it when Koepka gained 20 pounds while being depressed and on the couch after suffering a dislocated wrist a year ago, or when he lost 20 pounds earlier this year for a magazine photo shoot, for which he was told by a few that it was a stupid thing to do. However, I believe he last week proved those sceptics wrong.

Parker's reputation for non-fat, nutritional and gourmet food is a topic getting some play around the tour locker rooms.

If it's not Koepka, Parker has cooked for the likes of Justin Thomas, Dustin Johnson and Jordan Spieth.

The PGA Championship win at Bethpage Black last Sunday was Brooks' fourth major title with Parker at the stove.

Parker was also the chef at the last three British Opens for tour players such as Spieth, Rickie Fowler, Jason Dufner, Kevin Kisner, Jimmy Walker and Zach Johnson.

Brooks' favourite dish is the "BK Special," which has become his Saturday night regular.

The meal consists of a grilled organic chicken breast with quinoa, carrots, zucchini and green power veggies.

He also favours the turkey chili that Parker lays out with homemade guacamole and pico.

Another favourite is ribs with brown rice and sweet potato hash.

So my tip this week is to try say organic ground turkey braised with organic bone broth, white corn tortilla, power greens, pico de gallo, avocado, and organic cauliflower rice with black beans, and see if your game improves.
