Five people on board a chartered PC-12 single-engine aircraft were injured, two of them seriously, when the pilot made an emergency landing at Kamphaeng Saen airport in Nakhon Pathom on Sunday night, air force spokesman Pongsak Semachai said on Monday.

AM Pongsak's statement confirmed earlier media reports of the incident.

About 7.03pm on Sunday, while the Pilatus PC-12 was enroute from Kolkata, India, to Don Mueang airport, the pilot contacted Kamphaeng Saen airport seeking permission to make an emergency landing. It was approved.

Five people were injured, two seriously, he said.

The injured were admitted to Chantharubeksa Hospital in Nakhon Pathom's Kamphaeng Saen district.

An investigation was underway into the incident.
