To celebrate Chiang Rai's 750th anniversary this year, Le Meridien Chiang Rai Resort recently opened its doors to share a passion for style, arts, culture, photography, cuisine and fashion with the general public.
Under the theme of ''Discovering Chiang Rai from a new perspective'', the resort was transformed into a unique social and cultural gathering place, with the objective of promoting awareness of Chiang Rai's and the province's unique charms.
The resort invited prominent artists, representatives from local organisations, governmental authorities and representatives of renowned home-grown brands in Chiang Rai province to take part in the celebration. The open house also welcomed VIP guests, members of the press from Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai and visitors from local and expat communities.
During the event, guests enjoyed a wide variety of activities including a fashion show by Chezmoi, art exhibitions, a spa showcase, food and wine tasting and a photography contest. There was also a retail marketplace.
The open house activities were held throughout the resort, covering public areas from the lobby to the riverside. Visitors were able to follow a Discovery Trail to explore Chiang Rai through the perspectives of arts and culture, romance, food, fashion, photography and spas.
The open house event signified the resort's commitment to creating a collaborative effort to represent Chiang Rai as a destination where travellers can truly expand their personal horizons.
