Midfielder Thitiphan Puangjan has returned to BG Pathum United, the club announced yesterday.

The 26-year-old Thailand international played for Japan's Oita Trinita on loan from BG Pathum last year and the contract expired at the end of the season.

"I am very glad to return to BG Pathum United. There are many new players and I am confident that we will be a title contender," Thitiphan said.

"I hope my experience from playing in the J-League will be helpful."

Thitiphan began his career at Muang Thong United in 2011 before moving to Chiang Rai United in 2016.

After two seasons at Chiang Rai, he joined BG Pathum, then Bangkok Glass, in 2018.

BG Pathum, who were relegated at the end of the 2018 season, will play in Thai League 1 next term after comfortably winning the Thai League 2 title last year.

Meanwhile, Thai League 1 champions Chiang Rai United have signed two midfielders Mailson from Brazilian club Vila Nova and Sanukran Thinjom from SCG Muang Thong United.

The Beetles have acquired seven new players since they won their first ever Thai League 1 title last year.

They also have a new coach in Taki Masami of Japan.

Also, Philippines defender Amani Aguinaldo has signed for Thai League 1 club Trat FC ahead of the upcoming season, foxsportsasia.com reported.

The 24-year-old spent the last season on loan at Malaysia Super League outfit PKNP FC from his parent club Ceres-Negros FC in the Philippines Football League.

The Azkals star underwent a trial at South Korean club Incheon United recently in a bid to earn a contract with the K-League outfit.

However, his move to sign for Incheon under the newly-introduced Asean quota of the K-League did not bear fruit making him turn to Thailand as his next destination.

Aguinaldo has 38 caps for the Philippines, having made his international debut in 2013.
