Big-spending Port and former champions SCG Muang Thong United ended their winless runs in Thai League 1 on Saturday night.

While Port picked up a 3-2 victory at Trat, Muang Thong recorded a 2-1 home win over Ratchaburi.

The joy that engulfed the Port dugout -- with new coach Sarawut Treephan at the helm of the team for the first time -- when Heberty Fernandes found the net in the 34th minute lasted only five minutes. Trat's Sittichok Paso chipped home from close range to ensure the two sides went into the break levelled.

Nitipong Selanon's angular drive from outside the box a couple of minutes after the break gave Port their second, but Mustafa Azadzoy headed home the leveller at 68 minutes.

Sergio Suarez struck late to give Port their first win since the resumption of matches in the top flight two weeks ago.

The Kirins also succeeded in picking up three points for the first time since the restart with their home win.

Muang Thong United started piling pressure on the visitors early when Derley missed the target by a whisker and Willian Popp was denied by Ratchaburi goalkeeper Ukrit Wongmeema.

The first goal came at the end of a 25th-minute counter-attack when Derley put the Kirins ahead.

Ratchaburi were more active in the second half and there was drama before their search for the equaliser ended as VAR denied them a goal, adjudging that scorer Yannick Boli had committed handball.

Ratchaburi eventually got the leveller in 57th minute from the Javier Patino but to see the Kirins claim the winner 15 minutes from time when Suporn Peenagatapho's shot deflected off Ukrit's and ended up in the net.

In another game last night, hosts Police Tero were defeated 2-1 by Chonburi at Boonyajinda Stadium.
