HBO presents Tiger, a two-part documentary that will give us an opportunity to learn about Tiger Woods, one of the greatest golfers and also one of the most famous athletes of all time.

Part I premieres today at 9am exclusively on HBO Go and Part II will premiere on Jan 18 at the same time.

The 45-year-old American golfer has more career major wins and career PGA Tour wins than any other active golfer. He is also the youngest player to achieve the career Grand Slam and the youngest and fastest to win 50 tournaments on tour.

He also holds the record for being ranked No.1 in world rankings for the most consecutive weeks and for the most total number of weeks than any other golfer.

However, he fell from grace in late 2009 when his extramarital affairs with New York City nightclub manager Rachel Uchitel were exposed and his marriage to Elin Nordegren crumbled. In December of that year, Woods addressed his infidelity and announced he'd be stepping away from golf indefinitely.

Following his 2010 divorce from Nordegren, with whom he has two children, his redemption arc continued with a flurry of ups and downs.

Illuminating in a sweeping scope and details about the rise, fall, and epic comeback of the global icon, the series paints an intimate picture of the prodigy whose dedication and obsession to the game of golf not only took his fame and success to new heights but also down a dark, spiralling road that eventually led to a legendary sports comeback, culminating in his victory at the 2019 Masters.

Tiger is driven by never-before-seen footage and revealing interviews with those who know the golfer best, including his former caddy and close friend, Steve Williams; golf legend and six-time major champion Sir Nick Faldo; Earl Woods' friend and biographer, Pete McDaniel; Tiger's first true love, Dina Parr; as well as Uchitel, the woman at the centre of the sex scandal that altered Woods' world, who broke her silence with her first-ever sit-down interview about their relationship.
