Two second-half goals gave True Bangkok United a convincing 2-0 victory over former champions Buriram United and put their campaign back on track in Thai League 1 on Saturday night.

It was the first win for the capital side which also ended Buriram's unbeaten streak at three games.

Bangkok United wrested control 10 minutes into the second half when Pokklaw Anan gave them a 1-0 edge.

Pokklaw was again instrumental in the home team's second goal after 70 minutes when Heberty Fernandes guided his cross into the net.

Bangkok United moved up to joint second spot on seven points with Buriram and Samut Prakan City.

The upshot did Chonburi a big favour as well.

The Sharks fired seven unanswered goals past first-timers Khon Kaen United to move to the top of the table for at least 24 hours -- Samut Prakan City would return No.1 spot if they could claim three points from their away game at struggling Police Tero this evening.

Dennis Murillo and Worachit Kanitsribampen were in great form yesterday with the Brazilian accounting for four goals and the Thailand international also bagging a hat-trick.

Former champions Chiang Rai United let PT Prachuap off the hook at home after conceding two late goals to suffer a shock 2-1 defeat last night.

Felipe da Silva put the Beetles ahead in the 52nd minute before Apichart Denman grabbed the leveller for the visitors shortly before the 80th minute before delivering the winner in injury time.
