If you can relate your age to a round of golf, I should just about be halfway down the 15th.
Yet, a take heart knows that there are many other golf coaches still plying their trade whilst approaching the 18th tee.
If you can stand up and still have the passion for the game, age doesn't really matter and one good example is Butch Harmon, who at 78 can still be found looking at swings on the practice range.
Butch stopped travelling with the PGA Tour in 2019, but when the circuit came to his native Nevada, where he runs his School of Golf at Rio Secco, he took the opportunity of saying hello again to many of his old students, who include Ricky Fowler.
Fowler has currently been going through a loss of form and a session or two with his old coach will do him no harm, as he desperately searches for past success after dropping down to No.128 in the world rankings.
My old coach David Leadbetter is coming up to the 16th and will soon be 70, yet he too, doesn't look like slowing down.
My rationalisation here is that old golf coaches can still teach until they drop.
Sadly, old players can't, due to mother nature hindering efforts of serious swings.
Fortunately, the senior tour (also known as the 'retirement tour') allows those who can still play to do so.
