Global Sport Ventures (GSV), an affiliated company of Plan B Media, has announced its collaboration with Rajadamnern, the first Muay Thai stadium in Thailand.

GSV will invest in Rajadamnern Stadium Co and lead the direction of the boxing stadium with the goal to be the global hub of Muay Thai.

The parties will collaborate with leading Muay Thai promoters in Thailand and extend cooperation to global sports organisations to build Muay Thai as Thailand's "soft power".

The acquisition process is expected to be completed by the end of this month.

GSV CEO Thainchai Pisitwuttinan said: "For over 76 years, Rajadamnern Stadium has been the foundation of Thailand's combat sports in which we've witnessed many great fights.

"It has also been the birthplace for many legendary heroes throughout its history.

"Rajadamnern Stadium is also well known to foreigners as one of the most charming destinations in Thailand. It is the place to experience the authentic Muay Thai atmosphere.

"GSV plans to revolutionise Muay Thai to reach the new generation and sports fans around the world with the goal of making Rajadamnern Stadium the hub of Muay Thai through our plan of 'Modernising Muay Thai 360 degree'."

With the support from Plan B Media, GSV will deliver Muay Thai contents to all audience groups through its "4 Os" strategy -- online, over the air, out of home, and on-ground, he said.

"We will create new experiences for both the fighters and fans by providing world-class facilities and media experience at Rajadamnern Stadium," said Thainchai.

"We will collaborate with Muay Thai's leading promoters in Thailand and globally to co-develop the Muay Thai ecosystem to be sustainable and highly professional.

"We will elevate Muay Thai through sports science to unlock fighters' potential to reach the standard of world-class athletes."
