Prajanchai PK Saenchai is keen to stop No.1 ranked Joseph "The Hurricane" Lasiri from getting his hands on his One strawweight Muay Thai world championship.

The two will go head-to-head on May 20 at One: 157 Petchmorakot vs Vienot at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Prajanchai has faced difficult opponents before, most notably the strawweight world title from Sam-A Gaiyanghadao.

The Thai athletes battled for five rounds at One: Battleground, exchanging all Muay Thai weapons.

Prajanchai, who walked away with a majority decision win, is eager to face another well-rounded athlete in Lasiri from Italy.

"I won't underestimate my opponents. I can't have a mindset that I am better than others. That's not good for my advancement. I always say that I am not better than others. That inspires and encourages me to get better and better. What I can say is that I can beat him, but I will not underestimate him," Prajanchai said.

Despite his humility, Prajanchai has an incredible amount of experience, owning nearly 400 fights.

Additionally, he holds two stadium world championships from the legendary venues Lumpinee and Rajadamnern.

He faces a WBC champion in Lasiri but is confident that he has his opponent's game figured out.

The men trained alongside each other for some time at Prajanchai's homebase of PK Saenchai gym, which gave him the opportunity to study Lasiri's movements and techniques.

"His knee style gives me more advantage because he would press forward to hit me. He would be in trouble with my punch combination before his knees reach me. When he focuses on only his knees, he forgets to use punches -- and that's a big hole that I can attack him back with," Prajanchai said.

"I think in One Championship, using punches are more terrifying than knees. You can still predict other weapons throwing at you. But for punches, you may never see it coming. And wearing small gloves is no different from fighting with bare hands. Only one hit can get you down."
