Thai badminton chief Khunying Patama Leeswadtrakul poses with members of the country's Thomas Cup, Uber Cup and SEA Games squads during a thank you party at a Bangkok hotel yesterday. Khunying Patama gave them a total of 3.11 million baht in bonus.
Khunying Patama celebrated the Thai women's team which claimed third place in the 2022 Thomas & Uber Cup held at the Impact Arena in Bangkok during May 8-15. She awarded 500,000 baht to the team.
Khunying Patama also handed out one million baht each to Thai men's national team and Thai women's national team which grabbed gold medals at 8th SEA Games in Vietnam.
The remaining cash was awarded to individual medalists and trainers.
"This year is a special year of success for Thai badminton team and for Thailand in sucessfully hosting the international tournament," said Khunying Patama.
