LIV meet a treat not to be missed

In just a couple of weeks, the biggest prize money in Thailand's sporting history will be up for grabs in Asia's first LIV Golf event.

Everybody will have his or her own opinion on golf's big elephant in the room situation and the conflict between the PGA Tour/DP World Tour and LIV Golf and I'm not going to add my tuppence worth on this hotly contested issue.

However, the opportunity of taking in the new event, on our doorstep, is one that should be greeted enthusiastically by every golfer and golf fan here in Thailand.

A new course called Stonehill located in Pathum Thani, just outside Bangkok, will be hosting the event from Oct 7-9 and recently I was invited to view this wonderful new Thai golf course.

Quick, easy, and convenient to reach by an expressway, a day out to see several of the world's best players compete on this incredible new layout should definitely be on your agenda.

Thailand will be on the world's golfing stage shortly, therefore thrusting Stonehill to the forefront of any "best lists" of golf courses in Asia.

Watching players in the calibre of reigning British Open champion Cameron Smith play his way around the gorgeous holes will be a treat, and one that should not be missed.

The preparation and organisation involved with any golf tournament is often underestimated but the hard work involved here has been ongoing for several weeks.

I've no doubt that this consideration to detail will ensure a memorable golfing experience.

Out of Bounds: "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."
