Buriram eye away victory at Lamphun

Buriram United coach Masatada Ishii is hoping his men won't take their foot off the pedal when they take on Thai League 1 minnows Lamphun Warriors on Friday in an away game.

Buriram's Suphanat Mueanta in action against Prachuap last weekend.

The match will be played at Chiang Mai's 700th Anniversary Stadium and kick off at 7pm.

The Thunder Castle are currently in second place in the league table with 17 points after their 3-1 victory over PT Prachuap last weekend.

Ishii is hoping that his team will not take their opponents for granted and continue the momentum.

"We have had good results in the past two matches and our players are in good form at the moment," said Ishii.

"I am hoping that they will keep their performance consistent throughout the season.

"Although Lamphun have yet to win a match in the top flight, we cannot underestimate them at all. But three points is what we want from this game."

Their strike force will be led by in-form forwards Supachai Chaided and Suphanat Mueanta.

Lamphun coach Dusit Chalermsan is under no illusion about the task facing his team.

"It will be another difficult match for our team but we hope to pick up at least a point from this game," said Dusit.
