ONE Championship star Janet Todd is one fight away from becoming the undisputed ONE atomweight Muay Thai world champion, as she will get her shot at divisional queen Allycia Hellen Rodrigues' throne at ONE Fight Night 5 on Dec 3.

Todd currently holds the interim title in the stacked division, and she will be hoping to secure undisputed double-champ status that morning after earning the ONE atomweight kickboxing world title against Stamp Fairtex in 2020.

Should she do so, she will become only the second female athlete -- after the Thai megastar -- to officially win belts in two different disciplines in ONE.

Her meeting with Rodrigues will represent the second time the American star has gone for the coveted atomweight Muay Thai crown, having gone down to a unanimous decision loss to Stamp in her ONE debut in 2019.

"JT" has been on a warpath inside the Circle since that defeat. Along with snatching the atomweight kickboxing gold from Stamp in their heated rematch, she won three fights in a row in the atomweight Muay Thai division to set up a meeting with Spain's Lara Fernandez for the interim divisional gold at ONE 159: De Ridder v Bigdash this past July.

The California native dominated promotional newcomer Fernandez in their meeting to earn a unanimous decision win from the judges and claim the interim world title.

Todd will face Rodrigues in her upcoming battle, and the Brazilian world champion will be highly motivated to return to action with a dominant performance. The 24-year-old star has only appeared in the Circle once, and that was to challenge Stamp for her atomweight Muay Thai world title in August 2020. The Phuket Fight Club standout scored a tight split-decision victory on that occasion to usher in her reign at the top.

Rodrigues took a break from competition following that win to focus on starting a family. But she is now ready to put her stamp on the division by successfully defending her throne.

This match-up is sure to please striking fans worldwide. Todd has shown that she is a force in the Circle with her superb combinations.

Before that atomweight battle goes down, stay tuned to catch all the action at ONE 162: Zhang v Di Bella on Friday, Oct 21, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
