Second-placed Bangkok United are looking forward to getting a result at leaders Buriram United in the Thai League 1 top-of-the-table clash at Chang Arena tomorrow.

The capital side sealed an impressive 2-0 win over BG Pathum United last week, thanks to goals from Vander Luis and Mahmoud Eid.

Champions Buriram, on the other hand, were held to a 1-1 draw by lowly Khon Kaen United.

Bangkok United coach Aurelio Vidmar said yesterday last week's win boosted his players' confidence.

"We know Buriram are a top team in Thailand and the defending champions," the Australian said. "But we are looking forward to the match. Our players now look confident after we beat BG. However, we won't underestimate Buriram. We hope to get at least one point."

The Angels, backed by True Corporation, have never won a major trophy.

Buriram coach Masatada Ishii urged his player to forget the Khon Kaen setback.

"It will be a tough test for us," said the Japanese.

"Bangkok United are strong. They did very well in their win over BG Pathum. However, we will play at home so we are looking forward to getting three points."

By the time the Thunder Castle play Bangkok United, they may have already lost the top spot to Chonburi.

The Sharks, currently third, are just two points off the pace.

They host Sukhothai today without goalkeeper Worawut Sukuna who has been fired by the club after he was charged with drunk driving following a fatal accident this week.

BG, who sacked coach Makoto Teguramori after their loss to Bangkok United, are at home to Lampang today.
