Port started the second leg of Thai League 1 on a positive note last night when they edged visiting BG Pathum United 2-1 at their PAT Stadium.

It was an impressive performance by Port considering they were one man short for over an hour after Airton Tirabassi picked up his second yellow card in the 35th minute.

The hosts broke the deadlock in the 44th minute when Pakorn Prempak crossed the ball for Hamilton Soares to head home.

The Rabbits were awarded a penalty when Pakorn fouled Chaowat Weerachart inside the box and Stenio Junior made no mistake from the spot to tie the score just after the hour mark.

Port got the winner in the 68th minute when Soares made the most of a botched clearance by a Pathum defender.

In other matches last night, Chiang Rai United were held to a 1-1 home draw by Lamphun Warriors in a game in which both sides had a player red-carded each and hosts Chonburi beat Police Tero 5-3.

Earlier in Saturday night's late matches, hosts True Bangkok United, under new coach Totchtawan Sripan, put on a brilliant show to outplay Nongbua Pitchaya 3-1.

Bangkok United got their first goal in the 22nd minute when Mahmoud Eid pounced on a defensive blunder but then had to wait for 45 minutes to net their second when Heberty Fernandes converted a penalty.

Nongbua pulled one back in the fourth minute of injury time through Song Ui-Young but only to see Heberty wrap up the things quickly with his second strike of the night.

Hosts Ratchaburi started the second half of the season with a 2-0 loss at the hands of struggling Khon Kaen United.

Ratchaburi were left with 10 men after 48 minutes when Myanmar's Hein Phyo Win fouled Khon Kaen's Lidor Cohen and was sent off after a VAR check.

Meanwhile, Nakhon Ratchasima suffered a 2-1 loss to PT Prachuap at their home ground.
