Bangkok United got their first goal in the 22nd minute when Mahmoud Eid pounced on a defensive blunder but then had to wait for 45 minutes to net their second when Heberty Fernandes converted a penalty.
Nongbua pulled one back in the fourth minute of injury time through Song Ui-Young but only to see Heberty wrap up the things quickly with his second strike of the night.
Hosts Ratchaburi started the second half of the season with a 2-0 loss at the hands of struggling Khon Kaen United.
Ratchaburi were left with 10 men after 48 minutes when Myanmar's Hein Phyo Win fouled Khon Kaen's Lidor Cohen and was sent off after a VAR check.
