Thai stars Jongkolphan, Rawinda exit Indonesia Masters in semis

Thailand's Jongkolphan Kititharakul and Rawinda Prajongjai bowed out of the US$420,000 Indonesia Masters in Jakarta yesterday.

The fourth seeded Thais went down to China's Liu Shengshu and Zhang Shuxian 21-11, 21-9 in the women's doubles semi-finals at the World Tour Super 500 event.

The Chinese duo will face Yuki Fukushima and Sayaka Hirota in today's final.

The Japanese pair defeated sixth seeds Tan Pearly and Thinaah Muralitharan of Malaysia 21-14, 21-19 in the other semi-final.

Spain's seventh seed Carolina Marin reached the women's singles decider after she defeated China's eighth seed Han Yue 21-15, 21-14.

She will play third seed An Se-Young in the final after the Korean star defeated China's sixth seed Wang Zhiyi 21-9, 10-21, 21-16.

The battle for the men's singles crown will be an all-Indonesian affair between Jonatan Christie and Chico Aura DWI Wardoyo.

Fourth seed Christie defeated Shi Yuqi of China 21-13, 15-21, 21-19 while unseeded Wardoyo fought back to beat Angus Ng Ka Long of Hong Kong 17-21, 27-25, 22-20 yesterday.
