The Chaba Kaew fought back from a goal down to edge Taiwan 2-1 in a friendly game titled the International Women's Exhibition at PAT Stadium on Sunday night.

The Thai women's team, coached by Naruepol Kaenson, had several chances in the first half with Saowaluk Pengngarm being denied by the Taiwan goalkeeper Wang Yu-ting.

After the break, the Taiwanese, ranked No.41 in the world, broke the deadlock in the 71st minute through a Li Yi-wen strike.

Seven minutes before full time, the Thai women's team should have equalised from the spot after being awarded a penalty when Jiraporn Mongkoldee was fouled by a Taiwanese defender. Jiraporn took the penalty herself, but her shot was saved by Wang.

The Chaba Kaew had another penalty two minutes later when Karnjanathat Phomsri was fouled by Wang. This time Karnjanathat had no problem converting from the spot to level the score.

During the added time, the Thais got the winning goal when a free-kick from Parichart Thongrong found its way into the goal.
