Superbon has dared Chingiz Allazov to come back and face him again in ONE Championship, suggesting the featherweight kickboxing king has “run away”.

Allazov last fought in August, beating Marat Grigorian by decision to successfully defend his title. He won the belt with a stunning second round knockout of Superbon at Bangkok’s Impact Arena in January 2023.

The 31-year-old Azerbaijani-Belarussian is reportedly looking to leave ONE, with Grigorian recently claiming his old rival “vacated” his belt.

“I don’t know, but I hope he’s coming back,” Superbon told the Bangkok Post after his stunning first-round KO of Jo Nattwut at ONE Friday Fights 81.

“Hey, Chingiz – I’m waiting for you. You are not going to run. You are a champion. The champion is not going to run, man.”

Since Allazov last fought, the 34-year-old Thai also defeated Grigorian by unanimous decision to win the interim featherweight kickboxing title.

However, Superbon insisted that he does not consider himself the real champion, and repeated his attempts to goad Allazov back to the ring.

“No, I don’t think so,” he added. “I want to fight the champion. But the champion has already run away. Come back, man.

“I got upset because the champion has run away. I don’t know if he’s scared of me, but he ran away.”

Superbon and Allazov had been on course to meet in a rematch by the end of 2025, with ONE chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong announcing the pair would be on opposite sides of the brackets for a featherweight kickboxing grand prix.

But plans for the eight-man tournament – which would have crowned the winner as both grand prix champion and the divisional champion – have stalled in Allazov’s continued absence.

Superbon is still open to fighting in the tournament, however, should it still go ahead.

“Yes of course, I love to fight man,” he added. “I can fight anyone, I can fight in the world grand prix, I can fight Tawanchai for the featherweight Muay Thai title, and I can wait for Chingiz Allazov.”
