Defending champions Buriram United will be hoping to extend their lead at the top of the Thai League 1 table when they visit PT Prachuap Wednesday evening.

Buriram hold an eight-point advantage over their nearest rivals Bangkok United.

The Thunder Castle have been in great form of late and will be spearheaded by Thailand national team forward Suphanat Mueanta.

Prachuap head coach Sasom Pobprasert is expecting his men to grab at least a point from the home game.

A victory for the Killer Wasps at their home ground will elevate them to third spot in the top-flight standings.

Meanwhile, Buriram were on Tuesday drawn to face fellow Thai League 1 giants BG Pathum United in the League Cup last 16 round.

As for Prachuap, they will take on struggling former champions Chiang Rai United in another exciting last-16 round encounter.

All the League Cup matches are scheduled to take place on Feb 26.

FA Cup battles

The last 32 round games of the FA Cup will take place on Wednesday evening with a number of top-flight teams in action.

The spotlight will be on the game between defending champions Bangkok United and Nongbua Pitchaya.

In another game pitting Thai League 1 sides against each other, Nakhon Pathom United will host Muang Thong United.
