It's raining sixes in Bangkok at the 32nd RBSC International Cricket Sixes Tournament which kicked off yesterday at the Royal Bangkok Sports Club.

Nine games were played on the opening day with a total 1,166 runs scored and a record number of 21 sixes hit.

The highest team score on the first day was registered by Magra Sports Club from India who scored 88 against Chittagong Club and beat them by 50 runs.

Magra's Tinku Fofandi hit the highest sixes, nine, on the first day.

A young boy called Sanchit Sharma, who plays at the U14 level for Delhi state, is playing for Jiya Cricket Club.

Today's action begins at 8am and the tournament ends on Sunday.

Jiya lead Group A with six points followed by Chittagong who also have six points and Red Bull who are still looking for their first point.

In Group B, Magra have nine points, while DK and Hindu each have three points.
