CallControl gives local firms no-hassle VoIP service
Infinity IT Success has launched a dedicated Thai-language website for its voice over internet protocol (VoIP) service in response to the growing number of Thai firms embracing the technology.
CallControl lets users make, receive and manage calls via the internet, in the style of Line and Facebook Messenger.
VoIP, now a widely adopted and mature technology, works by converting sound into digital voice data and transferring it over the internet.
The company's CallControl system has been on the market for more than two years, but only now is the Thai market starting to respond to the value of hosted VoIP, according to a company spokesman.
"There are many reasons for this, including a growing trend to outsource non-critical IT, an increased understanding and acceptance of the cloud, and the looming retirement of many legacy private branch exchange (PBX) telephone systems," said Jan Bisping, head of sales and marketing at Infinity IT Success.
Infinity IT Success was founded in Bangkok in 1993 by a team of German and Thai entrepreneurs. Its VoIP clients include international contact centres, logistics providers, financial houses, digital marketers, travel agents, NGOs and manufacturing companies -- as well as a Thai startup that provides fortune telling and life advice over the phone.
Thailand's strategic positioning as the Asean hub for trade, industry and commerce has resulted in an increasing number of local and international firms establishing bases in Bangkok and nearby industrial centres like Chon Buri and Rayong.
These companies often require phone communications to be set up quickly, securely and affordably. The only requirement for CallControl is a stable broadband internet connection.
Thailand's internet speed, second only to Singapore in Asean, coupled with VoIP technology's recent reduction in cost, makes a high-quality, feature-rich VoIP system an attractive proposition.
CallControl offers internet calling rates, including to landlines and mobile phones. Domestic or international, calling costs are cheaper than conventional fixed-line or mobile rates.
CallControl also offers call management and optimised call routing. It requires no capital investment, infrastructure, wiring, upgrade hassles or in-house expertise.
"Many in-house IT engineers don't have VoIP or PBX skills, so in the past whenever a company decided to purchase and develop an on-premise PBX solution, outside consultants and integrators were involved in a costly process," Mr Bisping said.
CallControl eliminates these middlemen, as well as the need for in-house IT staff to acquire new skills, he said.
