True Corporation Plc has launched a cloud-based platform for remote working and learning services to cater to the trend of working from home in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

The platform, known as True Virtual World, was launched yesterday. The service, which is free, enables people to work, learn and enjoy their lifestyle at home.

Suphachai Chearavanont, chairman of the board for True, said the company has integrated its business and corporate digital solutions into True Virtual World.

"With the crisis, everyone is limited and must adjust their way of working, learning and living towards the online platform. Telecom infrastructure development of 4G and 5G wireless networks make that easier," said Mr Suphachai.

The platform consists of True virtual workplace, or Vwork, supporting business organisations at all levels and facilitating work from anywhere, anytime.

The platform supports company networks, assigning tasks, file sharing, task approval, internal communication, setting up a chat group as well as holding an online meeting of up to 1,500 participants.

The platform also includes True virtual learning or Vlearn, which supports educational institutions teaching while university and school students are away from campus.

It also allows access to a knowledge hub based on the state curriculum and can test and evaluate the study results.

True virtual live focuses on people's lifestyles, including heath, entertainment, online shopping as well as more privileges.

Mr Suphachai said the platform has integrated solutions along with strong cybersecurity measures, which meets the needs of businesses, the educational sector and the public.

It is now a web-based platform but apps on both Android and Apple operation systems will be rolled out in the future, he said.

Businesses and people can now register to access the platform, said Mr Suphachai.
