Nightography on the rise
Low-light photography is this year's Samsung's focus.

This year's S22 line up, Samsung focusing on improving night & dark environment photography, hence the word nightography in their whole S series. We did a little trial use by taking photos with their latest S22 phone in a pitch-dark room with just a few blue lights turned on and found that the phone managed to take crisp, well-lit, usable photos that look way brighter than what our eyes can see.

The big brother of the bunch, the S22 Ultra, is like an incarnation of the Note 20, by having an S Pen that slips into the chassis, curved-to-the-side screen, arguably best screen in the world, but also gets the renowned S series camera set as well.

While the S22+ and the S22 come with flat screens that changes its refresh rate according to what's shown on screen to save batter just like last year's S22 Ultra. Colour selection wise, these two also comes in milky pink and dark green apart from the usual black and silver.

S22+ also comes in pink and green.

Thais who complained about having the "inferior" Exynos chipset last year will be glad to know that this year we're getting QUALCOMM Snapdragon Gen1 instead. This largely boosts the AI performance of the phones for better assisted photo & video taking & multitasking.

Bangkok Post will come up with a review when we can get our hands on one. So, stay tuned.

Smart phones have gotten so good that most phones are good enough for most tasks, even mid-range ones around 10K. Last year, to stand out from the crowd, some has resorted to new form factors (IE: foldables), some has introduced new gimmicks like a discreet under-screen selfie camera, some lets you to connect your phone to an external screen and have PC-like experiences. One thing that is very clear is that Samsung leads the market in innovations and was the one to bring the 3 to the market.
