If you rely on the Bangkok Mass Transit System (BTS), Bangkok Metro (MRT), Airport Rail Link and the Bus Rapid Transit Project (BRT) to move through Bangkok each day, this is one handy app to have on your smart device.

The featured map shows how different routes connect with one another from Sukhumvit to Ratchaphruek to Suvarnabhumi airport and others. Users can instantly look for the closest station to their current location and work their way from there. Upon selecting departing station and destination, users are offered different route plans they can take. The time taken for each route is automatically calculated.

There are options you can select and decide whether you want to leave instantly, or at a fixed time in the future. Aside from choosing departure time to see when you'd reach your destination, you can also choose to see arrival time and calculate what time you have to leave to make it to your different stops.

Details of each route plan can be viewed on an orderly chart showing time and interchange stations. It also shows where you have to get off and change lines, as well as the time it will take to get to each stop on the route.

Your home station, or the station you visit most frequently, can be set for speedy results. History of each route taken is also available for viewing. You can share routes with friends via SMS and email, and provide feedback to Navitime for better route results.

Transit routes in some other cities in Asia, Britain and the US are also available in separate apps by Navitime.
