Poll: Most Thais are not stressed

Most Thais are not stressed and most of those who are live in the South, Bangkok University found from its recent opinion survey.
The Bangkok University Research Centre conducted the poll on 1,194 people nationwide on Oct 7-8 and found 80.4% of the respondents thought they were in either the less or least stressed groups and 18% described themselves as either stressed or the most stressed.
Among the respondents who said they were stressed, the lion's share, or 26.1%, are in the South, followed by 22.1% in Bangkok.
By profession, the majority, or 26.1%, of the stressed group were operators, followed by vendors, self-employed people and employees (21.2%) and farmers and fishermen (21.1%).
Expensive goods are the biggest cause of stress, affecting 73.6% of the stressed group, and the second biggest cause is the low prices of farm products.
