A street sweeper was praised online for her cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) attempt to save the life of a woman on a roadside in Prawet district on Sunday morning.

Facebook pages Recue Thailand Club and Volunteer Bike reported that street sweeper Duangklom Buakloi, 22, was called to help a woman who passed out on a roadside near Iam Sombat market at about 8am.

She performed CPR on the woman until an ambulance arrived and took over the rescue mission.

The woman was later pronounced dead. However, the administrators of both Facebook pages praised Miss Duangklom for taking a life-saving course at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital because she was aware that her daily duties on the streets might bring her opportunities to save lives.
