Another concrete platform has been built into a waterfall in Nakhon Si Thammarat province, prompting officials to order vendors to remove the encroachment by the end of today.

The Chom Rom Strong-Jit Porpiang Tan Thudjarit on Friday posted pictures of the concrete outcrop at Tha Phae waterfall in Khao Luang National Park in Chang Klang district.

It is the second man-made intrusion into a scenic spot disclosed by the anti-corruption group which pointed out expansions by vendors on Klong Tha Dee passing through Khiriwong village in Lan Saka district.

The two alleged encroachments are almost identical. Vendors had built cement areas from the banks into the public waterway for tourists to have meals and drinks on.

Chang Klang district chief Weerayuth Khanunnil ordered vendors of three shops at the waterfall to remove the platforms by the end of today, according to Daily News online.
