Ambulance hits farm truck in Korat, drivers badly hurt

NAKHON RATCHASIMA: The drivers of a hospital ambulance and an "e-taen" farm truck were seriously injured after the two vehicles crashed in Chok Chai district of this northeastern province on Sunday morning.

Police said the accident occurred at about 5am when an ambulance from Khon Buri Hospital rammed into a farm truck as it turned out of a soi onto the main road and cut in front of it near an intersection on Khon Buri-Chok Chai road in tambon Krathok.

The ambulance was returning to Khon Buri Hospital after taking a patient to Maharat Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital in Muang district. The two vehicles were badly damaged.

Sakchai Chanpreecha, 24, the ambulance driver, and Choey Kloemkrathok, the farm truck driver, were seriously injured and admitted to Khon Buri Hospital.
