Communicating online via Facebook, Twitter, Line and Instagram is the most popular form of activity for people staying at home in order to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus, according to the result of a survey by Suan Dusit Rajabhat University, or Suan Dusit Poll.
The poll was conducted online on May 5-8 on 1,242 people throughout the country.
Asked what they do most while staying at home to slow the Covid-19 spread -- with the respondents allowed to give more than one answer -- their answers were:
- Communicate on Facebook, Twitter, Line and Instagram (84.34%);
- Rest (83.11%);
- Work from home (78.04%);
- Watch movies (75.70%):
- Listen to music (74.22%);
- Cook food/desserts (70.97%);
- Study from home (69.59%);
- Exercise (67.61%);
- Plant trees (62.98%);
- Perform religious activities (58.98%);
- Take care of pets such as birds, fish, dogs and cats (55.48%);
- Play online games (51.63%);
- Read books (50.26%);
- Write stories (50.12%);
- Make DIY items such as face masks and face shields (48.41%).
