Thais return from Netherlands, Madagascar

A total of 206 Thais stranded in the Netherlands and Madagascar by Covid-19 lockdowns returned to Thailand on Wednesday afternoon.

They were met at Suvarnabhumi airport by disease control officials, along with Gen Paripat Palasin, deputy joint chief of staff, airport director Kittipong Kittikachorn and officials from the defence permanent secretary's office. 

Seventy-one returned from the Netherlands on flight KL 875, landing at 12.10pm. During health screening one was found to have a fever and was immediately taken to a hospital. The others were taken by buses to state quarantine facilities for 14 days.  

Flight QR3448 arrived from Madagscar with 135 Thai returnees at 3.30pm. They cleared health checks and were taken to 14-days quarantine at Cinnamon Residence hotel in Bangkok.
